Training Made Easy – Consistency

Following on from simplicity, we now look at another concept in the 5 lifelong tips to a fitter, healthier and well lived life.

Consistency
1. acting or done in the same way over time, especially so as to be fair or accurate.

Fitness, Health and wellness depend a lot on consistency. I chose the meaning above so as to portray the concept of time as well as accuracy.

A word that comes to mind when i thing of consistency, is Mastery. Masters of any skill, be it through formal training or self taught, are held in high regard. We appreciate the consistency in effort.

To master your life you have to be consistent. One thing to note about consistency is that it is not rigidity.  One does not need to be at 100% intensity every moment of every day.

A quote that springs to mind is one by Bruce Lee “I don’t fear the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks. I fear the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

Go ahead practice that kick 10 000 times, and if you can,  practice another 10 000 kicks 10 000 times each.
